Project Summary
ATP783P Chandos Block is located in the Eromanga Basin, Queensland. The exploration permit covers 1,621km2 (400,556 acres) and is located in the Warrabin Trough. The Permit positioned along the northern margin of the Permian Edge and is approximately 35km north of the prolific Kenmore oil field, and 14km north of the Bodalla oil field.
Seven wells have been drilled in the block between the years of 1966 and 1994. That includes the Chandos_1 well which recovered light oil during a production test.
Recent Activity
The Chandos Block is currently under application awaiting completion of the Native Title – Right-to-Negotiate process. As part of a farmin agreement, Santos is managing the Native Title process and can earn an interest in the permit by funding 3D seismic acquisition and drilling..
